CFMEU Member Travel InsuranceNovel Coronavirus (COVID-19) UPDATE
Updated 24th January 2022
Coronavirus (COVID-19) was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation on the 11th of March, 2020.1.
As governments across the globe work to stop the spread of the virus, many travelers are being impacted by restrictions, closures, delays and event cancellations. Others intending to travel are making the choice to cancel plans, fearing an increased risk of exposure.
In light of these circumstances, we understand many CFMEU members will have questions about their Member Travel Insurance coverage.
At this stage, we would like to inform you that as at 1 January 2022, AHI have now included COVID-19 coverage.
What type of travel will be covered?
As international and domestic travel slowly gets underway again, insurers have agreed to open up the coverage scope to move with the current travel trends.
To find out more about the coverage, you can view AHI's COVID-19 Travel endorsement here.
