Mark has over worked in the insurance industry as a broker and underwriter specialising in professional liability since 2007. Mark spent 7 years with the international insurance broking firm Marsh where he was responsible for the negotiation, placement and servicing of professional liability programs for a variety of clientele from large corporate clients to small private companies.

Prior to joining Coverforce 3LP Mark worked at Zurich Australian Insurance as the Queensland Underwriting Manager for Financial Lines Insurance. In this role Mark was accountable for the management, development and underwriting of a professional liability book whose product portfolio incorporated: Directors’ & Officers’ Liability, Professional Indemnity, Prospectus Liability, Crime, Employment Practices, IT Liability and Management Liability.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Business in Public Sector Management and is a Committee Member of the Queensland Chapter of the Australian Professional Indemnity Group.

Sonya is an experienced insurance professional with more than 30yrs in the general insurance industry, skilled in all Corporate and Commercial insurance placements with specialisation in Marine, Transport and Logistics.

She is a member of MIA (Marina Industries Association) and BIA (Boating Industry Australia) and currently sits on the BIA QLD State Council.

She has worked for AMP, NZI (New Zealand insurance) and various Australian brokers. She has been responsible for negotiation, placement and servicing of large commercial insurance programs, financial planning risk assessment and also design and implementation of insurance schemes and software programs for insurance companies and brokers.

Steve Mahaffey has specialised in marine and logistics insurance for over 30 years. He has worked in the insurance broking area since 2007 and prior to this worked at Associated Marine, one of Australians leading marine insurers for 15 years in various roles from underwriting manager to regional manager in various states across Australia. Steve has consistently contributed to the advancement of marine insurance working with the Australian Insurance Institute, various Podcast / training session and founding Coverfreight which is a API technology driven solution for single transit insurance in Australia.

Steve holds a Fellowship with the Australian Insurance Institute and is also a Graduate from the prestigious Australian Maritime College in Tasmania.

Innes commenced work in the insurance industry in 1992 as a broker in England. Since moving to Australia in 1996 Innes has worked in broking and underwriting for business insurance, professional risks, motor insurance, personal accident & illness, medical malpractice and warranty covers. Innes has been with the company from day one and specialises in niche products, group schemes and product development.

Darwin started his career in 1986 in personal lines for a Lloyd’s broker in the UK and moved to an underwriting role for a Lloyd’s Syndicate and then to a compliance role for a large insurer. In 2008 he moved to New Zealand where he worked for a number of well-known insurers in underwriting, compliance, schemes and relationship management.

In 2018 Darwin moved to Brisbane and initially worked for a multinational insurer in underwriting and then on to a large retailer to manage their insurance portfolio. Darwin joined Cerberos in October 2020 – he’s qualified as a Chartered Insurance Broker with an advanced Diploma from the Chartered Insurance Institute in London, UK.
